New England Drachmann Bench 5ft

If you’re after a classic style bench, but you prefer the white, modern, sleek look, you will love our New England Benches. The slatted back, the rounded arms, the curved arch at the back – they all tick that quintessentially English brief. It’s made from FSC 100% certified Acacia timber which is finished in fresh white satin polyurethane paint.

New England furniture is produced by applying a polyurethane paint to the Acacia timber. After time there may be hairline cracks in the finish, due to the timber moving. Expansion and contraction of timber is normal and is caused by climatic variation, this is more noticeable around the joints. This will not affect its durability. We recommend regular maintenance to retain the New England's original condition. This can be done by sanding the affected area down to the natural timber, then evenly re-applying a white satin polyurethane paint to the area. Polyurethane paint can be purchased from any DIY or Hardware store. If you are unsure about what paint to use please contact Alexander Rose.

Delivery

Standard delivery to mainland UK is FREE.

We will advise you of any delivery costs during the order process.

Your order will be delivered to you by us or our delivery partner. Unless there is an event outside of our control, we will take reasonable steps to meet the delivery date set out on your Order Confirmation or as otherwise agreed with you.

If you have asked to collect the Products from us, we will advise as to an estimated collection date during the order process. We will send you an email to confirm when you can collect the Products. If we are unable to meet the estimated delivery date or time because of an event outside of our control we (or our delivery partner) will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay. Provided we do this, we will not be liable for delays caused by the event, but if there is a risk of substantial delay you may contact us to end the Contract and receive a refund for any Products you have paid for but not received.

Delivery will be completed when the Products are delivered to the address stated in the Order Confirmation (so please make sure that the delivery details you provide are accurate as we cannot be responsible for any delayed or failed deliveries as a result of your error).

You are responsible for making suitable arrangements to receive your delivery. Please make sure you or someone instructed by you is able to take delivery of the Products. Deliveries of large items needing to be delivered on a pallet will be via a kerbside courier service, our courier will call to book in delivery on a convenient day.
