Coverage

Our warranty only applies to structural damage, corrosion, rust, and / or fading furniture and garden structures which we supply to you. It is subject to the exclusions and limitations set out below.

Our warranty does not apply to glass, or cushion stains/water damage where cushions have not been stored in accordance with the Alexander Rose care instructions.

To benefit from our warranty, we require you register your purchases with us on the website). This will also ensure that you receive updates about your purchases.

Duration

The warranty duration for each product is clearly stated on its respective page on our website and applies solely to furniture purchased through our website.

Exclusions and Limitations

We reserve the right to reject warranty claims at our discretion, or where the products have been altered by third parties.

The warranty excludes fair wear and tear, with stated durations representing the maximum coverage period.

Replacement orders do not reset the warranty period, which starts from the dispatch date.

Product-Specific Warranty Details

Rattan Garden Furniture

The warranty covers structural damage, rust, and fading, excluding natural wear and tear. Extreme temperatures may cause rattan to contract or expand, which is not covered by this warranty.

Cushions and glass are only covered by this warranty if they are damaged upon arrival, with replacements available within 14 days of delivery. Handwoven rattan may exhibit colour variations and unique differences.

Rope Garden Furniture

The warranty includes structural integrity, rust, and colour fade but excludes natural wear and tear.

Dirt and stains are not covered by this warranty unless reported to our Customer Service Team (at the details found here: https://www.alexander-rose.co.uk/contact/) within 14 days of delivery for items damaged upon arrival.

Wood Garden Furniture

The warranty includes structural integrity, and other abnormal defects excluding those which naturally occur. Wooden products are made from natural timber, which varies in shape and colour. Timber joints may become slightly offset, and surface cracks are likely to appear due to natural weathering.

Purchasing these products, you acknowledge the natural characteristics and maintenance requirements of our hardwood timber products.

Parasols

The warranty covers canopy rips and tears and the crank and tilt system of aluminium crank-and-tilt parasols.

Damage from high winds or misuse is not covered by this warranty. Parasols should be used with appropriate bases and covered and closed when not in use.

Covers

All outdoor furniture covers come with a 1-year warranty for natural rips at the seams. We will not provide replacements for covers which have been damaged by force or cutting.

We will determine whether damage is due to misuse or manufacturer error. Fading from sunlight exposure is not covered by this warranty.

Cushions

Cushions should be stored indoors unless specified otherwise by the manufacturer. Furniture covers do not suffice for outdoor storage.

Claiming under our warranty

Claim Requirements:

  • Proof of purchase, including order confirmation.
  • If repair is not possible, a replacement of the same model or an equivalent will be provided if the original is unavailable.

Exclusions:

  • Evidence of abuse, misuse, or non-domestic use.
  • Improper maintenance as per the Alexander Rose care instructions.
  • Unsanitary conditions (e.g., pet damage), with the right to refuse collection or disposal.
  • Export outside the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or the Republic of Ireland.
